WSU seminar on using LinkedIn to land a job, Jan. 31 in Farmington Hills

Wayne State University’s Alumni Association is sponsoring a seminar entitled CareerBoost: Get Connected with LinkedIn , from 5-8 p.m. Jan. 31 at the WSU Oakland Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan.   

Gary Heitman and Lisa Mangigian, seasoned experts in the employment industry, will lead the seminar  that will teach attendees how to use LinkedIn, and other social media, for career development.

Guests will learn how to choose groups, stay visible, find connections, search for people connected to jobs they want, get introduced to people, interact in groups, discussions and news feeds, and research companies, industries and locations.
 
The program is free for WSU Alumni Association members and currently enrolled WSU students; $2 for WSU graduates who are not members; and $5 for all others.  Call (877) WSU-ALUM to make reservations. Seats are limited.
