Rettig injures ankle
Moments after throwing the first touchdown pass of his collegiate career in tonight’s game against Notre Dame at Alumni Stadium, Boston College freshman quarterback Chase Rettig suffered an injury to his left ankle and limped off the field and then into the BC locker room where his ankle was x-rayed. His return to the game was uncertain with BC trailing the Irish at the half 24-13. Sophomore MIke Marscovetra replaced Rettig. As the third quarter started, the report came that Rettig would not return.
